Being a member of a savings and credit cooperative means being part of a shared effort. Members are encouraged to understand the SACCO’s rules, stay informed about their accounts and take part in the cooperative in the ways provided for by its governing documents.
As a member, remember to
- Ask for clear information about savings, shares, loans, fees and applicable terms.
- Keep your contact, employment and identification details up to date.
- Review any loan agreement carefully before accepting it.
- Follow the SACCO’s approved procedures for requests, complaints and account changes.
- Participate in member processes in line with the SACCO’s constitution and policies.
